About Us
" I began my bookkeeping journey about 10 years ago working at a Lakewood, CO based home warranty company. When I started there, there was not one single department in charge of accounts receivable or accounts payable. With 2 years, I created this new position within the accounting department and developed operating procedures for that position for future training. In 2023, I moved to a specialist position at a local hardware and lumber business closer to my home in Bailey, CO where I have been honing my skills further.
I have worked to further my education through AccountingCoach.com, and recently earned a career diploma for Bookkeeping from Penn Foster. I know this will not be the last of my learning as this is an ever-changing business.
Over the last few years, I have learned that too many contractors - HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building contractors - are unsure of what is going on in their books. There are still a lot that have it in the bag and they're good, but I have seen many who struggle in this area. I completely understand! They start businesses like this with the hopes of working for no one but themselves and their clients, and get lost and frustrated when it comes to having to be stuck behind a computer all day.
